East Coast College

East Coast College is a well-established further education college based in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, offering fantastic breadth and depth of subjects and technical and professional training to degree level. Recently merged with Lowestoft Sixth Form the College it now boasts an even broader academic curriculum with fantastic progression opportunities to apprenticeships (at all levels) and university.  With specialist Maritime and Energy and offshore training centres, combined with commercial training and partnership with University of Suffolk, the college has become a centre of excellence for energy, engineering and offshore skills training. Commercial training includes Emergency Response, Compex, Management as well as Partnerships with Maersk training (GWO) and Total Solutions (. IRATA )

The college has over 800 apprentices including Engineering, Welding, Project Management, Business and Construction. The college also runs the Offshore Wind Centre which is supported by Skills Deal funding and has Scottish Power as their lead employer sponsor. Delegates are supported to complete awareness training and funded GWO training from a range of starting points.
