Vattenfall in Norfolk
Vattenfall is planning two offshore wind farms off the coast of Norfolk that could power more than 3.9mn UK homes. Norfolk Vanguard and Norfolk Boreas are both 1.8 gigawatt (GW) capacity projects locted more than 47km from the Norfolk coast.
- Norfolk Vanguard, the first of the two projects, was awarded consent by the Secretary of State in July 2020.
- Norfolk Boreas is in the examination phase of the consenting process. Examination will close by 12th October 2020.
